MASTER OF SCIENCE PROGRAM
IN COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS

 
  Leave of Absence
   
-  A student, who wishes to take a leave of absence from his/her studies, does so with the approval of the University.
-  A student who has received approval for leave of absence shall pay the student status maintenance fees
-  The degree program must be completed within five years.
   
  Termination of Student Status
    A request for terminating a student status is approved by the President :
If the student obtains a GPA of less than 2.0 in any semester.
If he/she does not register during the registration period.
If his/her GPA is less than 2.5 when he/she has finished more than half of his/her work.
If he/she does not fulfill all the course requirements within five years.
If his/her GPA is less then 3.0 upon completion of all course requirements.
If he/she has seriously violated the University regulations.
   
  Student Advisors and Examination Boards
   
-  Student advisors: A student advisor may be a regular or a guest lecturer appointed by the University. A student may    change his/her advisor with the consent of the University.
-  The comprehensive examination board consists of persons appointed by the University to conduct comprehensive    exam. Members of the board include an advisor and two or more other competent persons. At least three members
   of the board must be present during the examination.
   
  Approval of Degree
   
-  Graduating students in each academic year shall formally apply for graduation to the University at least one month     before the end of the last semester of the program.
-  Students whose names are proposed to the Board of Trustees for conferment of degrees:
   * shall have completed all degree requirements.
   * shall have cleared all fees and charges.
   * shall not be a person pending any disciplinary actions.

     CS stands for Computer Information Systems
     CE stands for Computer and Engineering Management

Course Numbering
     5,000 – 5,999 stands for Foundation Courses
     6,000 – 6,999 stands for Master’s Level Courses
     7,000               stands for Thesis

Letters and Number
     CS 6000 – 6199 stand for Basic Computer Concepts
     CS 6200 – 6299 stand for Software
     CS 6300 – 6399 stand for Hardware
     CS 6400 – 6499 stand for System Analysis and Design
     CS 6500 – 6599 stand for Management Information Systems
     CS 6600 – 6699 stand for Network and Telecommunication
     CS 6700 – 6799 stand for Artificial Intelligence
     CS 6800 – 6899 stand for Computer Applications
     CS 6900 – 6999 stand for other Computer Topics
     CE 6400 – 6499 stand for Computer Management
     CE 6500 – 6599 stand for Engineering and General Management
     CE 6600 – 6699 stand for Manufacturing Management and Packaging Systems
